DGT (don't go there)

During dinner tonight, there was a pleasant rainstorm that serenaded our ongoing ingestion of food. Upon looking outside, mom remarked to Randy "Your balls are getting rained on". This provoked a choked fit of giggling and laughter from Kaycee, Julie and Randy. Mom is saddened by the fact that nowadays one cannot say the word "thingy-dingy" and "balls".

The Two Things Becky Wants When She Wakes Up

So for Easter Weekend, Becky, Buddy, and I went down to stay with grandma for the weekend. It was all lovely as we did normal grandma stuff: sharing cherished and deep conversations about the meaning of life, having to stuff large amounts of food into unwelcoming stomachs, sleeping, poisoning the prairie dogs with rat poison, doing laundry, watching sound of music, you know, normal stuff. While enjoying the wonderfully cheesey musical strains of the The Sound of Music, becky, roused from a deep sleep, sat up and asked "ready for cake?" No polite and circumlocuting blabber for her, no sirree. Buddy remarked that that, food, is the one thing becky wants when she wakes up. Brushing it off, becky happily ate her cake and we continued to enjoy the Sound of Music. After we had all finished our cake, grandma and I took to cleaning the dishes while buddy and becky were lazing around in the living room.....or so we thought. What to my surprise when I walk into the living room and catch the two in mid-smooch. This was the moment when I found out that "there are two things that becky wants when she wakes up, and [that was] one of them." a least, according to Buddy. The rest of the night was spent watching becky shrink deeper and deeper into a deep oblivion of embarassment and humiliation.

The exploits of Señor Feety

We all wondered if Señor Feety would ever grace us once again with his suave accent and invasions of personal space. And then, he did: (if you aren't acquainted with the story, Señor Feety made his debut when Julie and Jenny shared a bed in Holland and Julie got a leetle bored one night. She pretended her foot had a personality of "his" own. And what a personality that turned out to be...)
